When JETSET Pilates planned its newest location, Scout Mechanical, a Carolinas commercial electrical contractor, was selected to deliver the full lighting and electrical installation that brings the brand’s signature atmosphere to life. For a studio like JETSET, that’s not a small job. The lighting isn’t behind the walls. It is the room.
From the ambient layers overhead to the brand-defining blue glow around the mirrors, Scout’s electrical team installed every fixture and control that shapes how the space actually feels. From the moment you walk in, those details are what set the tone.
Inside the Electrical Installation
The commercial electrical installation spanned the full studio environment: ambient lighting, brand-driven accents and the dimming controls that tie everything together.
Scout’s electrical team installed:
- Recessed dimmable LED lighting throughout the studio
- Decorative wall sconces
- A custom LED chandelier feature
- Illuminated ceiling details integrated throughout the studio’s design and branding

Illuminated Ceiling Feature
Suspended above the reformer floor, the ceiling feature is one of the most striking elements in the finished build. Combined with the mirror lighting and the deep blue accent glow throughout the room, the electrical design became a major part of the studio’s overall identity.
Dimming & Lighting Controls
Everything was connected through a coordinated dimming system. This allows instructors to easily transition the room from brighter lighting during setup into the darker blue, moody atmosphere used during classes.

Because the lighting becomes such a visible part of the finished space, a studio like this takes a different level of detail than other standard commercial buildouts. Fixture placement, dimming controls, ceiling coordination and lighting transitions all have to work together cleanly once the studio is operating day-to-day.
A lot of coordination also happens behind the scenes during construction. Different fixture types, accent lighting, decorative elements and controls all need to line up correctly before the final finishes are installed. When it’s done well, the space feels seamless by the time doors open.
